Club Manager & Instructor

Wife to husband Brett, for 22 years, mom of 3. Two girls in college, and my son is freshman in high school. I always was a stay at home mom, and once my baby started school I decided to take my fitness to the next level and decided to get certified in group fitness, and recently got certified in Strength and Conditioning. I have been teaching for almost 10 years and managing Kosama at both locations at different times.

I absolutely love helping individuals take control of their health and staying fit. I love seeing individuals meet their goals, and to have confidence in themselves.

When I am not teaching, I love to read, run, and traveling to watch both of my daughters play volleyball in college, and watching my son’s high school sports.

Ashley Whitley

Body Pump, Body Combat

I take pride in promoting that my classes are challenging but also fun. Since the connection in class is so important to me, I try to make that connection with every one of the participants in my classes! I actively promote an open, warm and encouraging welcome to those who may be new to my class, or are a regular!

While I teach classes most nights, during the day I am a School Social Worker & a mental health practitioner. My fiance’ and I will be getting married in April 2024, we recently purchased a house in Gretna & we have 2 fur babies that I absolutely adore! Looking forward to you taking my class and for me to get to know you!

Celita Mata

Body Pump, Body Balance, Restorative Yoga

I lead my yoga/Bodybalance classes with an open heart. Being aware that our body today is not the same as yesterday is essential for a safe and effective practice. I offer options from beginner to advanced yogis and want you to get all the feels…

In BODYPUMP, I emphasize proper form and technique. Making sure to remind you of the basics like breathing, but at the same time challenging you.

I say it often “I need you, more than you need me!” I thrive off your energy and am blessed by the friendships made between our 4 walls.

Kaycie Lane

Body Pump, Body Combat, Body Balance, Tone, Cycle

Kaycie’s focus is on education, whether in fitness class performing technical movement patterns or in the classroom at university as a professor. If your focus is on proper technique and performing movements correctly and effectively, she’ll probably have a tip or two.

Kaycie loves taking fitness trainings to improve her ability to deliver a safe and effective workout that brings precision to the forefront. When not teaching, she’s outside hiking, mountain biking or trying new activities, although you can also find her in a coffee shop reading or writing just as often.

Currently she teaches Cycling and Tone at DynamiX but you may also find her subbing BodyPump, Barre or BodyCombat if the need arises!

Joanne McConkey

Body Attack and Step

I’ve always been an active person, participating in Basketball, Cross Country, Track, and Volleyball throughout my childhood. After giving birth to my oldest son at 18 and moving across the state to attend college at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, I turned to group fitness classes at Gold’s Gym and the YMCA to regain strength and maintain a fit and active lifestyle.

My first experience with Les Mills classes came later, when we relocated to Omaha so I could attend pharmacy school at UNMC. I took a Body Attack class at the downtown Y and quickly became a regular participant.

As I learned more about Les Mills and their philosophy behind group fitness, I decided to become a certified instructor and share my passion for fitness with other members. I was certified in Body Attack in 2011 and it still ranks as my favorite class. Body Combat, Body Pump, Body Balance, Cardio Step, Barre, Cycle, or one of the many new Kosama classes keep me busy when I’m not teaching, and you’ll find me at Dynamix most days of the week! I also enjoy running, hiking, and rollerblading to connect with nature and feed my body and soul.

Outside the gym, I work as a Pharmacist for Walgreens and as a mother, raising three children with my husband of almost 25 years. We enjoy reconnecting as a couple since our youngest moved to Boston for college in August.

Kelly Adair

I am proud to be part of the team at DynamiX Strength and Fitness. I changed my life 25 years ago by transforming my body in the gym. I’ve been a Certified Personal Trainer from the American Council on Exercise since 1999. I have been with Les Mills International since 2003 teaching Body Pump and Body Balance in 2018.

I’ve never appreciated strength, flexibility, balance, more than I do now in this season of my life. I know how much it has improved the quality of my life. I know it will do the same for you. Consistency is key.

What I’ve learned over 25 years is no matter how old you are, it is never too late to start. My favorite principle is “Focus on Progress, Not Perfection“. Taking the first step is the hardest. I will be honored to provide you guidance and support in getting you started on your health and fitness journey.

Kosama

Becca

My name is Becca and I’ve been instructing for two years. My favorite part about instructing is getting to know the members and encouraging them to push themselves.

I also love taking complex movements and breaking them down so everyone can understand them and they feel comfortable while building up strength. I am also a mother of two, so my free time is spent chasing the kiddos and spending time with family.

Emily

I discovered my love for instructing group fitness classes about 8 years ago. My goal during each class I teach is to motivate members and to push them past their limits… safely of course! I also love providing an energetic and fun environment to make everyone’s workout and day a little better.

When I’m not at the gym I’m at home taking care of my 2 little ones. Before having kids I was an elementary school teacher. Safe to say I’ve always had a passion for teaching others! “

Grace

I have been instructing for a little over a year and a half now. Kosama was my first gym home, nearly 8 years ago and I am overly excited we’ve been able to keep our workouts alive thanks to Dynamix. The variety of workouts and the people are what sets our gym apart.

I recently married the best dude I know mountaintop in Colorado, also welcoming my husband’s 3 daughters into my life. When I’m not at the gym, I work in non-profit fundraising. In my free time you can catch me watching sports, eating nachos or wings, playing endless amounts of games and planning our next vacation to the mountains or beach.

Kosama

Jared

I started Kosama on a Groupon in 2018. I was immediately hooked. I love the variety of classes- lifting heavy one day, kicking things the next, and even get some cardio in there without running on a treadmill. I also love the team atmosphere- there’s comfort knowing a whole room of people are embracing the suck with you! It really is a workout for everyone, whether you haven’t worked out in years or you run marathons, everything is scalable to your abilities.

I’ve been instructing since 2020. As an instructor I want to make sure everyone is being safe and lifting properly, but I’m not afraid to push you to your limits. The morning crew (5AM and 6AM) is a welcoming and competitive group, who push each other to get better every day, and not afraid to call you out if you take a set off. We also joke around too much and spend time outside the gym at an occasional happy hour.

When I’m not embracing the suck at Dynamix, I’m hanging with my wife and daughter (Jessica and Charlotte), telling myself this is the year for the Huskers, enjoying watching the Chiefs, eating too much food, sleeping, or thinking about eating and sleeping.

Jill Tafoya

For years I struggled with being consistent with my health and working out. My career demands that we are in good physical shape, and I wanted to be a good role model for my daughter. After losing my mother due to heart failure at a young age, I realized I had to do something for myself and stick with it.

I joined Kosama in February of 2012 on a one month trial and never looked back. I quickly became hooked with the nature of group fitness classes. I was a member for 7 years, before beginning instructing classes there in March of 2019. In March of this year, I had zero hesitation with transferring to DynamiX to continue instructing. I enjoy motivating others, helping them prevent injuries with good form, and finding their “why”. My favorite class to teach is kickboxing. It is a great combination of power and cardio.

I am married to my husband Mike, who is also a member at DynamiX. I have a 12 year old daughter. Together we enjoy traveling many times throughout the year. Our favorite spot is Cancun!

John Norman

John Norman and I’ve been instructing at Kosama/DynamiX for about 3 years. I’ve been involved with instructing group fitness for about 11 years. I instruct because i love to help others work on their own fitness journeys.

It’s awesome to help others put in the work daily. I personally love the workouts so instructing others is easy to do!

I have a wife, a newly teenage son, a dog, and an interesting job in the cruise industry which keeps me busy after my early morning workouts.

Teaching 4.5 years. Mom
of 3. Instructing for kosama became a personal goal of mine because I was inspired by the instructors to push myself in class. I started instructing because I wanted to motivate and push people the same.

Liz is married to her high school sweetheart, Ben, & they have 4 daughters & a new son in-law. She enjoys reading, golfing, watching her girls do what they love & playing any kind of game.

Liz was a member at Kosama for 5+ years & instructed for over two years. She started instructing at the Kosama West location to help out sporadically & is excited to come back to help keep the 7am class going at DynamiX.

She loves the friendships & friendly competition Kosama has provided & enjoys the fun mix of classes that Dynamix has to offer.

Rachel Peter

I have been a member of Kosama since 2018. I love the variety of workouts that are offered! I decided to coach as I love the gym. I enjoy the variety of coach’s as they all provide something different and I want to give that back to other members.

I have two labs at home. I enjoy traveling, spending time with family and friends.

Sarah P

I have been instructing classes at DynamiX for 6 months. When I started with Kosama 8 years ago, I fell in love with the classes and people. I was so excited to help bring these amazing workouts to our new gym home.

My favorite class to take and teach is kickboxing and I love encouraging other members to meet their workout goals. Early morning workouts are a must to help me keep up with my 3 kids and 21 fourth graders.
